How can I create an account in Bood?
You can create an account via our app (Android or iOS). Just download our app and register. It’s free.
Is Bood safe?
Very. For us, your safety is the most important thing. We use modern vehicles and our drivers have each been through a careful selection process and hold all the necessary insurance.
Who are we?
We are a young and growing team spread around the world, working to connect riders with drivers so that you can move around the city safely, easily and enjoyably.
How can I order ride?
Once you have downloaded the app (Android or iOS) and have registered, follow these steps:
- Select your Pickup Location by moving the pin on the map or typing the address.
- Select the type of vehicle.
- Press the ‘Done’ bar at the bottom of the screen.
- Enter the destination address to know the estimated price.
- You’re ready! Simply click on the “Request” button and your driver will come to pick you up.
Who are the drivers?
Drivers have all the insurance necessary to work . All have each been through a careful selection process designed to offer you the best possible service.
Why does Bood need all these permissions in the app?
All the permissions we ask for are necessary for the app to function correctly.
- Identity: needed to create a user account in Bood.
- Location: needed so your driver can come and find you.
- Telephone: needed so that you can communicate with the driver.
- Photos / Multimedia: needed in order to set up the user profile
- Device ID and call data: needed to facilitate the registration process
- Receive internet data / Complete access to the network / See connections in the network: Bood needs internet connection in order to work
- Use device accounts: needed to manage your Bood account.
- Access the configuration of Google services: needed to be able to use push notifications, localization services and maps.
- Ability to prevent the device going into standby mode: Needed in order to receive push notifications
I can't log in to my account. What can I do?
There could be a problem with your internet connection. Make sure you’re definitely online and try again.
If you still can’t get into your account, contact us and we’ll be in touch to help you as soon as we can.
What personal information do I have to give?
To use Bood we need you to give us your full name, your sex, your email address and your mobile phone number.
My account has been blocked. What can I do?
If your account has been blocked, please contact us so that we can work out what has happened and try to find a solution.
Can I send a message to the driver?
Yes, you can write a message to the driver. After driver is assigned for your ride you can see button “Text Driver”.
Can I find out the fares/prices via the app?
Yes, when you choose vehicle type you can see fares/prices.
The app isn't reading my location correctly. What can I do?
If you’re using Android, try the following:
Go to ‘Settings’ -> ‘Location’ and select the mode you prefer. GPS is more accurate but consumes more battery, while using mobile networks or WiFi is less precise but has a lower consumption.
If you are an iPhone user, we recommend:
Go to ‘Settings’ -> ‘Privacy’ -> ‘Location services’ and make sure that the location is active and enabled in our application.
What can I do if I was unhappy with the driver?
When you finish a journey, you can contact us. We’ll get in touch with you via email to ask you for more details.
Our logistics team will speak to the driver and take the necessary measures to ensure that Bood continues to offer the best possible service. Meanwhile, we will evaluate your complaint to assess what we need to do to make it up to you.
What happens if I don't show up at the pick up point?
If your driver has arrived at the pick up point and, after a reasonable time waiting, you’re still not there, the driver will try to contact you to confirm whether you’re going to appear. The final price you’ll need to pay may vary depending on the driver’s waiting time.
What can I do if my Bood takes me to the wrong place?
If your Bood doesn’t drop you in the right place, don’t worry. You just need to tell the driver and they will take you to the correct drop off point.
My pick up point doesn't match my geolocalization
When you use your GPS location to indicate your pick up point instead of stating an address, the driver will go to whatever address the GPS gives them. If they arrive at this location and can’t find you, they will call you to find out exactly where you are. The journey between their initial location and where you are will count as driver waiting time.
My driver asked me to leave the vehicle
The driver may ask you to leave the car if your behavior is inappropriate or if your pet is aggressive.
Also, the driver has the right to refuse to take you to dangerous or restricted zones. Instead, you can ask him to take you as near as possible to your destination.
However, if you think the driver has asked you to leave the vehicle without real justification, please contact us to tell us what happened.
Can children travel without an adult?
From aged 12 and upwards, yes. We’ll need you to send us an email confirming the ID of the mother/father/guardian and the child. When you’ve done this once it will be saved in our system so you don’t have to do it every time. Children aged under 12 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
